Wetherbee Farm's Equine Operations - Staff/ Training/ Lessons

Wetherbee Farm traces its heritage to the 17th century homestead of John Wetherbee, II, its land devoted to agricultural use for 300 years, including equestrian activities exclusively since the mid-1970's.   In 1986 the range of those activities expanded when Gladys and Les Fox, the current owners, purchased the farm.

For over twenty years, they offered boarding, Fitness by Riding, Kidz Kamp, and an extensive lesson program, but have taken the farm in a different direction, focusing on its breeding and training program.  They've turned over the farm operations to their daughter, Rondi Keaney, who lives on the farm with her husband and two children.

Rondi not only has been the barn manager for the past fifteen years, but as a lifelong equestrienne with a natural ability to breed a well-balanced athletic horse, she has been specializing in breeding, training and selling Wetherbee's sport horses for the last ten, averaging between five and ten foals per year, most of them being sold between the ages of 4 and 7.  Click Featured Horses for Sale to see their photos and descriptions, including four ready to come out in 2008, all bred for their dispositions and athletic ability.  There are currently many Wetherbee Farm-bred horses out competing successfully, some of which you can see in our Competition Gallery

Training/Lessons

We are happy to announce that one of Rondi's long-time friends, Ann Geoghegan, is now affiliated with Wetherbee Farm, adding her lifelong experience as an equestrienne and her expertise as a highly-respected rider/trainer in the event world to bring our young horses along.  She is also available to train you or your horse.

Also affiliated with Wetherbee Farm is Ann's cousin, Anne Sibson, former owner of Bittersweet Farm in Franklin, a trainer for the past twenty-six years, and a Recorded USEF judge over ten years.  Anne's students and horses have excelled in the Hunter, Jumper, and Equitation Divisions, being winners and qualifiers of year-end hunter championships and medal finals.

If you are interested in lessons or training with Ann or Anne either call 978-263-8321 or e-mail us at wfre@comcast.net.
